Clear your Needs review list: Find transactions without a clear type and classify them, one by one or in bulk.

Key points

  • Until you set a type, Coinfig leaves an unknown transaction out of your figures.
  • Check what each one really was: a trade, income, a deposit or a withdrawal.
  • Setting the type in Edit changes only the type; every other field stays as imported.
  • For many alike, narrow by asset or source, select every match and bulk update the type at once.
  • Every edit is versioned, so you can roll back a type change without re-importing the source.

Some transactions arrive without a clear type. Here is how to clear them quickly.

When some transactions have an unknown type, the ledger says so at the top. Until you set a type, Coinfig leaves an unknown transaction out of your figures, so each one needs a decision. Choose Review, and the ledger shows only those transactions.

Open one and check what it really was: a trade, income, a deposit or a withdrawal. Set the type in Edit and save. Every other field stays as imported. Many alike? Narrow by asset or source until only the matching ones are left. Select every match.

Bulk update sets the new type for the whole selection at once. Once you have decided, Coinfig works your figures out again, using the corrected types.

Open the review list. Decide one at a time. Or bulk update the rest.
