Some of my trades are missing. What do I do?
Most often the exchange only returned part of your history (many APIs cap how far back they go). Re-sync the source or upload the full transaction CSV. The Data Completeness Score (included on every plan) flags gaps so you know exactly what to fix.
My balances don’t match what the exchange shows.
This is almost always a missing transfer or an incomplete import, for example a deposit from a wallet Coinfig hasn’t seen yet. Add the missing source or CSV and Coinfig recalculates your holdings and cost basis automatically.
I edited a transaction but my report didn’t change.
Edits trigger a recalculation in the background. Give it a moment and refresh. The new figures flow through to your dashboard and report once the recalculation finishes. If it still looks wrong after a minute, contact support.
How do I import an exchange or wallet Coinfig doesn’t list?
Upload a CSV. The importer reads 40+ formats and maps them to the universal template. If you’d like a native integration, let us know and we’ll add it to the roadmap.
Can I change how a transaction is taxed (capital vs revenue)?
Yes. You can set a per-transaction classification, bulk-update a filtered set, or change your account-wide default in Preferences. Coinfig re-runs the calculation against the new classification.
