How to connect VALR to Coinfig
Open your VALR API keys
Log in to VALR, open the account menu from the grid icon in the top bar and choose API keys.
Start a new key
Tap Create API Key and acknowledge the risk notice VALR shows you.
Give it view access only
Enter a name for the key, tick “View access” and leave every other permission unticked, then tap Next.
Click the VALR email link
VALR emails you an authorisation link. Click it to authorise the key. Do not switch subaccount while the email is pending, because that invalidates the link.
Copy your credentials
VALR then shows the API Key and API Secret once. Copy both before you close the page.
Paste into Coinfig
In Coinfig, choose VALR, paste the key and secret, and click Connect to sync your full trade history.

Known limitations
- VALR Pay and certain promotional rewards may need a manual CSV top-up.
- Very old accounts (pre-2019) may have gaps in the API history; use the CSV export to backfill.
- An API key covers the main account only, so subaccount activity is not included in the sync.
- Switching subaccount while the authorisation email is still pending invalidates the link. Create the key again and click the link before you switch.
