Is this you?

Most people arrive for one of these reasons.

You have never declared your crypto

Build an accurate history for each tax year first. A tax adviser can then advise on the right route for past years.

You use more than one exchange or wallet

An exchange export on its own misses transfers between your own wallets. Coinfig finds those gaps for you.

Your tax office asked about your crypto

Get your full history and figures together before you reply, so you can answer accurately.

Your accountant asked for your crypto figures

Hand over one report with the schedules behind every number, so they can check it instead of rebuilding it.

Coverage

Connect once. We bring in the rest.

Connect your exchanges and wallets and Coinfig pulls in your full history for you, with nothing to type in by hand. Your transactions are kept in sync. For wallets we read the blockchain directly, which picks up movements that exported statements often leave out.

For the technically minded: we run our own archive nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Cardano.

Exchanges

Direct, read-only API connections to the venues you actually use, local and global, plus a universal CSV importer for everything else.

Blockchains

Add a wallet address and we read its history from the blockchain itself, transaction by transaction. There is no file to export.

The difference

See every number and where it came from before you file.

Coinfig checks whether anything is missing from your history and shows you what to fix. You get a data completeness score from 0 to 100, so you know how far to trust your figures before you pay.

Coverage

Is anything missing?

We compare everything that came into your accounts with everything that went out, coin by coin. Small gaps count for little, so a €1 gap does not spoil a clean year.

Evidence

Where did your coins come from?

When crypto arrives from a wallet or exchange you have not connected, we value it at the market price on the day, which is an estimate. Connect that account and we use the real figure. Your score is the lowest of the checks.

How it works

Four steps, messy to filed.

1

Connect

Link your exchanges, add your wallet addresses, or upload a file from an exchange we do not connect to yet.

2

Check

Coinfig shows you what is missing from your history and how to fix it, before you pay.

3

Review

Look over how your transactions were treated and change anything that is wrong. Every change is recorded.

4

FAQ

Common questions.

Everything you need to know about Coinfig and your crypto tax reporting.

Coinfig turns your exchange and wallet history into gain figures for your Quadro RT or quadro T, for the Italian calendar tax year. It uses LIFO, the method the Agenzia delle Entrate's guidance sets for the declarative regime, and works out proceeds, cost and net gain on every disposal, in euro.

You get downloadable, transaction-level schedules and workings behind every figure. Coinfig is a calculation and reporting tool, not tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement by the Agenzia delle Entrate.

Coinfig uses LIFO, last in first out, and it is the only method offered for Italy. It follows the Agenzia delle Entrate's guidance in Circolare 30/E for the declarative regime, where you report your own gains. The units you acquired most recently are treated as the first ones sold.

If a bank or broker already taxes you in the administered regime, it applies its own weighted average and Coinfig's figures are for the declarative regime. The full working is shown behind every disposal so you can trace which acquisitions were matched to each sale.

Gains are taxed at 26 per cent for 2025 and at 33 per cent for 2026. Both rates are in force, and there has been no annual exemption since 2025. For 2026, income from euro e-money tokens stays at 26 per cent. Your actual position can depend on your circumstances.

Coinfig computes the taxable gain, not your final liability, and shows the workings so you or your adviser can complete the return.

It depends on what you swap into. A swap between crypto assets that have the same characteristics and functions is deferred. It is not taxed when you make it, and the cost carries over to what you receive. Coinfig applies that rule.

A swap into fiat, a stablecoin or other e-money token, or an NFT is taxed, and Coinfig treats it as a disposal.

Most people who buy and hold are private investors, and that is where Coinfig starts. Which side applies is decided by whether you hold crypto in a business, art or profession, or deal in it habitually, judged on all the facts.

You choose in your Preferences, and your report states the choice. If you are not sure, check with a tax adviser.

Rewards from activities such as staking, and some airdrops, can be taxable when received, separately from any later gain on disposal.

Coinfig records these separately from your investment disposals. Because the treatment depends on the facts, confirm your situation with a tax adviser.

Figures, reports and plan prices are shown in euro. Every transaction is valued in euro at the rate on the day it happened, and any price we had to estimate is marked so you can check it.

Yes. When you connect an exchange through its API, Coinfig uses read-only access to import your transaction history. It cannot place trades or move funds.

If you prefer not to share an API key, you can also import your history by CSV from most exchanges.

No. Coinfig provides calculations and reports based on the data you import and the settings you choose. It does not provide personalised tax advice, and it does not imply any endorsement or approval by the Agenzia delle Entrate.

For complex situations, such as business activity, mining or unusual transactions, consult a qualified tax adviser. You remain responsible for what you file.
